William C.G. Burns, a former staff member, is an Associate Professor in the International Environmental Policy program at the Monterey Institute of International Studies in Monterey, California. He also serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Wildlife Law and Policy, Chair of the Wildlife Committee of the American Branch of the International Law Association, and co-chair of the International Environmental Law Interest Group of the American Society of International Law. Mr. Burns lectures and writes on the impacts of climate change, with a focus on the impacts on marine animals and small island states, as well as legal, scientific and policy issues associated with the International Whaling Commission and other international wildlife treaty regimes. Recent publications

Dr. Irving Mintzer was a Senior Research Scholar at the University of Maryland's Center for Global Change and Director of the Global Warming Assessment Project of the Stockholm Environment Institute before joining the Pacific Institute. He continues to work on issues related to implementation of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. He was the Executive Editor of the Pacific Institute-published Global Change: A Review of Climate Change and Ozone Depletion journal.
