Catalina Garzón
Research Associate
Catalina Garzón is a Research Associate with the
Pacific Institute's Community Strategies for Sustainability
and Justice program. Ms. Garzón has experience
in multicultural leadership development, popular education,
policy advocacy, and participatory action research. Prior
to joining the Pacific Institute staff, she provided technical
assistance on brownfields redevelopment to the 7th Street/McClymonds
Initiative in West Oakland and also formerly served as
project coordinator of Urban Habitat's Leadership Institute
for Sustainable Communities. Ms. Garzón is currently
pursuing a doctorate in Environmental Science, Policy
and Management from the University of California at Berkeley
and holds a Masters degree in City Planning from the same
institution.
