Ian Hart

Communications Director

Ian Hart is Director of Communications for the Pacific Institute. He arrived at the Institute from the University of California at Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy, where he focused his Masters study on environmental policy and strategic communications. Pursuant to his degree, he worked with the Environmental Protection Agency, Mexico’s Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources, and the Marin County Administrator’s Office.

Prior to his studies at UC Berkeley, Mr. Hart worked for five years with New England’s Conservation Law Foundation. As CLF’s External Affairs Coordinator, he managed the organization’s electronic marketing efforts, including Web and e-mail outreach. He has written on a range of issues for on-line and print publications, and holds a certificate in Web development.

In addition to his Master of Public Policy, Mr. Hart holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and Fine Art from the College of William and Mary in Virginia.
