Results of Survey on the Current and Future CSR Landscape

Overview

The proliferation of corporate social responsibility (CSR) standards and initiatives demonstrates increasing awareness around advancing sustainability in the private sector. Yet further coordination is needed among these initiatives to strengthen their effectiveness and credibility.

This survey, designed in collaboration with the ISEAL Alliance, AccountAbility, the Global Reporting Initiative, and the International Institute for Sustainable Development, seeks to provide a basis for developing a coordination strategy. The overall purpose of the survey was to gather the views of civil society groups and other stakeholders on the current status and future prospects of various global voluntary CSR instruments and initiatives, and to use this information to develop a common vision.
